Two brunettes walk into a bar…no joke, we did! And 16 years and 3 dogs later, we’re still going strong, as is our passion for dogs, soft apparel, and all things snarky.

We always loved the idea of helping people and pups in need—with a sprinkle of stylish irreverence. Eventually, it flowered into our mission: to drive awareness and funds for organizations that rescue, train, and match service dogs with people in need to help them live their best lives. Boom, Bitches & Bastards was born!

The name, as sassy and New Yorker-y as we are, was borrowed from our Great Aunt, Betty Kashman. Betty had a gift for calling life exactly as she saw it. Her iconic catchphrase—'bitches and bastards'—was her snarky, yet affectionate way of poking fun at the foibles of humanity. Her bold, funny, and kind spirit lives on in us and is the heartbeat of the brand.
